Photographed 31st May 2020 - 70 days into lockdown

When and how did Covid enter your day to day world?

Ten days or so before formal lockdown began when I decided I should not travel or go into shops.

What is the biggest way the lockdown has changed your day to day life?

Being confined to my flat in London for several weeks forced me to take stock go my life and to be content with my own company.

What moment in Covid ‘life’ stands out for you / do you think you will always remember?

The decision not to travel to Suffolk to see a 98 year old friend and to the USA to see an elderly relative who has since died.

What have been the good things about this period?

Time to think, to read books that I might well not have have otherwise read, to make contact with friends. Improved air quality in London.

What have been the most painful aspects of this period?

Being unable to see relatives and friends, not being able to visit Heydon and plant up the garden

What will you take from this time going forward?

The realisation that many things I do are by no means essential to my life.

Is there anything else about lockdown you would like to add?

I am heartened by much of the help and support given by friends and neighbours generally.
